noun:  The ancient or older medieval language of Tagalog mostly spoken and sparsely written using the Baybayin script in the Philippines from around its split off from other Central Philippine languages to around 1565 C.E., when it soon developed into Classical Tagalog after Christianization by the Spanish arrival. It developed from Central Philippine, under Greater Central Philippine, under Proto-Philippine, with influence from Old Malay, Classical Sanskrit, Classical Arabic, Middle Tamil, Classical Persian, Old Javanese, and either or both Medieval Min Chinese and/or Late Middle Chinese.
